Our client, LINEN, with close to 30 year experience in more than 46 markets, offices in 4 continents and an established reputation as one of top 5 animal & vegetable protein and fats trading companies in Europe, are looking for a proactive and hands-on experienced professional to join their team of “A” Players in the role of Chief Accountant.
Job description:
Sub - Group entities accounting processes
- Full cycle accounting overview and control - accounts payable, stock transactions, accounts receivable transactions and day to day communication with clients
- Bank operations in line with cash flow forecast
- Payroll calculations
- Perform month and year -end closing tasks and consolidation -process owner
- Ad-hoc requests from colleagues - investigate problems and find root causes and solutions
- Knowledge sharing with colleagues and support in raised problems
- Implement working instructions
- Assist junior accountant with task planning and performance on daily operational level
Sub - Group entities accounting & reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to Group Finance by managing periodic closing procedure (including accruals)
- Prepare requested data from banks and effectively communicate with responsible persons
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and track expenses, cost validation and
Sub - Group entities Statutory & tax reporting
- Prepare and submit tax returns to local authorities (VAT, payroll and employee related tax returns) and fulfil statistics reporting requirements and maintain effective communication with the State Revenue Service
- Responsible for local Tax requirements fulfil
- Prepare the Annual Report and submit to local authorities
- Main responsible person for entity Statutory audit process, communication with external auditors
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in accounting/financial management
- Knowledge of full Latvian accounting cycle & experience with payroll calculations in mid-sized companies
- Oriented towards process automatization & efficiency
- Strong computer skills, especially with MS Excel
- Strong written and spoken Latvian and English communication skills
- Ability to be creative and innovative
Nice to have:
- Team leader mindset
- University degree in accounting / finance / business management.
- Previous experience in accounting programs such as Horizon and MS Dynamics NAV or others;

Monthly Salary:
3000 - 3800 EUR Gross
